Each time you and your furry friend come in for a visit we will go over several topics that we feel are very important to the health of your little one. These topics include:

• Housebreaking

• Food - Improper feeding is often the most common kitten problem. We will discuss what brands are the most nutritious, how much to feed, and how often to feed them.

• Intestinal Worm Prevention - We will discuss the importance of monthly worm prevention and control. This is important because people can get worms from kittens!

• Heartworm Prevention - What are heartworms? Why are they a concern? Did you know that roughly 30% of indoor cats have heartworm disease?

• Flea Control - We will discuss why prevention is so much easier than treatment!

• Oral Health - We will discuss when baby teeth should be coming out, the benefits of brushing your kitten's teeth, and when they need cleaning.

• Spaying and Neutering - We will discuss why this is important and when it can be done.

• Toxic Plants - You will receive a detailed list of numerous plants, foods, and medications to avoid and symptoms they may cause if ingested.

• Micro-Chipping - We will discuss why this is so important and what is included with your activation.

• Declawing - We will discuss what age it can be done and what to expect afterward.

• Testing for Feline AIDS and Leukemia - We will discuss why this test is so important for the health of your kitten.

The kitten program is non-refundable and does not include any other vaccinations, any medical treatment if needed upon examination of your pet, spay or neuter costs, or parasite prevention. It is completely inclusive of the services listed above. After your kitten's initial vaccination series, it is recommended that your cat receive annual examinations, vaccines, parasite tests, and monthly heartworm and parasite prevention to maintain the best overall health possible.
