Keri Florida, DVM
Dr. Florida graduated from the University of Illinois in 2013 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation. Dr. Florida worked at two other practices before settling down at Flushing Animal Hospital as an associate and shortly thereafter, she purchased the clinic from Dr. Liggett-- who is now retired and lives very far north of here (no surprise there!). Dr. Florida also has worked part time at Adopt A Pet in Fenton performing spays and neuters and at Baker College as an Anatomy and Physiology laboratory instructor.
Dr. Florida's mission statement has always been to provide exceptional compassionate care to all of her patients and clients. She has a special interest in Internal Medicine and Soft Tissue surgery. She has a strong passion for Bulldogs, the Chinese Shar-pei, and other short nosed breeds of dog.
Dr. Florida resides in Flint with a pack of English bulldogs, a Neopolitan Mastiff, a Pitbull mix and one cat. When not working, Dr. Florida likes to spend time with her pets.
Monica, LVT
Monica joined the Flushing Animal Hospital staff in 2014. After graduating from Baker College in 2009 with a degree in Veterinary Technology, she attended Michigan State University and recieved a degree in Animal Science in 2011. In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending time on her farm with her many animals including horses, cows, donkeys, pigs, chickens and dogs.
Jamie, Receptionist & Pet Hotel Manager
Jamie joined the Flushing Animal Hospital staff in 1999. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and of course her many furry & feathered family members. Jamie married her best friend Derrick and together they have two awesome sons (Irie & Shey), who also take up a lot of her spare time.
Joyce Ward, Certified Obedience Trainer
Joyce started working at Flushing Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant in 1989. She currently runs the obedience program. She has been involved with obedience since 1977. She has worked with the 4-H club, judged for Mott College, taught obedience for the school enrichment programs, and is involved with therapy dogs. Joyce resides in Clio with her husband John and their dog Daisy.
