Requirements

To ensure the safety of your pet, other guests, and the staff, we have requirements that must be met in order to board with us. All pets must be free of internal and external parasites (fleas, ticks, ear mites, tapeworms, etc.). If parasites are found, treatment will be administered at the owner's expense. Pets with positive intestinal parasite fecal tests or visible tapeworms will be treated while here at the owner's expense.

All pets checked in for boarding must be current on all required vaccines and procedures and proof of these must be provided at check-in. If any vaccine or procedure is due within the same month as your pet's reservation, we require that it be updated prior to or during your pet's stay. All vaccines and procedures must be done by a licensed veterinarian and any procedure that cannot be verified at the time of admission will be given at the owner's expense. Required procedures are as follows:

Dogs:

• A current Rabies vaccine
• A current Distemper combination vaccine (given within the last
12 months by a veterinarian), which must include: distemper, adenovirus type 2 (hepatitis), parvovirus, and parainfluenza

• A current Bordetella vaccine

• At least the first round of the Influenza* vaccine
• A negative intestinal parasite fecal test (tested within the last
  6 months)

Although not required, we strongly recommend for boarding the Leptospirosis vaccine.

*For pets who have never been vaccinated for Influenza, the vaccine is given in a 2 part series 3-4 weeks apart.

Cats:

• A current Rabies vaccine
• A current Distemper combination vaccine (given within the last
12 months by a veterinarian), which must include: rhinotracheitis, calicivirus,
  panleukopenia, and chlamydia
• A negative intestinal parasite fecal examination from within the past 6 months.

Although not required, we strongly recommend for boarding the Leukemia vaccine

Exotic Pets:
