In order for your pet to have surgery, there are a few requirements that must be met. Although we have only a few
requirements for surgery, we feel very strongly that a few of the additional services listed in the "Recommendations to Increase Surgical Safety" category are very important for the safety and
health of your pet both during and after anesthesia. Surgery requirements are as follows:
• Have been seen at our facility within the past 3 months
• A current rabies vaccine (Required for all pets 16 weeks and over)
• A current distemper combination vaccine (Required for all pets 8 weeks and over)
• Must be free of external parasites (If fleas or ticks are found, treatment will be applied at pet owner's expense.)
• Preanesthetic bloodwork
**We reserve the right to refuse surgery to any unhealthy, pregnant, or aggressive pets.
**All vaccinations must include proof that were given by a licensed veterinarian.
